With the great British summer in full swing, our members are competing across the County and beyond in many disciplines. Heres a roundup from the past week.

South Downs Challenge
Stuart Featherstone took to his mtb for the 100 mile challenge! Tackling the lumpy terrain from Winchester to Eastbourne Stuart smashed his previous best time, completing the off road route in 8.19.43 with 10,000ft of climbing thrown in for good measure.

VTTA 50m TT
Paul Kennedy knocked 4 mins of his previous months time, stopping the clock on 2.04.22. Finishing 28th, in awful conditions, Paul will shave a lot more of this time in better weather!

Ashford Wheelers 10TT
Paul Kennedy took 11th in a time of 23.14, with Lee Sayers taking 30th in 23.40.

Full Gas Summer Series CycloPark
Stephen Gibson took another great result in the 3/4 cat race finishing 3rd. Ian Vagg was 9th with Ian Jones taking 10th to give the club 3 riders in the top 10.
PMR Open 10TT
Nick Malins came home in 3rd place with a time of 20.54. Matt Friday finished 48th in 26.58.

With his usual TT cancelled, Nick Malins put in a n impressive performance in the 3/4 cat race at CycloPark. Nick went away on his own for the majority of the race then still attacked a couple of time in the closing stages. Nick was rewarded with a well earn 4th.

Owler Half Iron Man
Ian Forrest and Peter Chard battled unseasonal conditions across all aspects of the course. Ian finished 13th overall in 5.03, Peter Chard was 19th but 3rd in his age category with a time of 5.13.25. A great performance by both athletes in bad conditions!
BFCC XC Race Summer Series Bedgebury Forest
Stephen Gibson swapped the skinny tyres for something a little hardier as he took 3rd in the Veterans race at Bedgebury. Stephen has produced amazing results for the club since joining and its a gift to have him in the team!
